AOL cancellation but 6 years later still paying !!!
I have just looked at my bank statements which i rarely do as they depress me but i was amazed to find that i am still paying for AOL dial up connection of £20 a month which i cancelled over 6 years ago, i rang AOL (indian call centre) & they said that i could not have cancelled but i told them i definately did & i also have never had a bill from AOL during the 6+ years, i was then put through to a Scottish guy who said they can only refund me for the last 6 weeks which will give me back £30 while i have paid over £1400 !

you will have to be able to produce some evidence that you have cancelled. Your best bet would be to serve an SAR asking for copies of all correspondence account information, screen notes etc.
If you are lucky, the screen notes or show that you did indeed cancel. In this case go ahead and claim everything back.
