Hi, my friend is trying to get his statements for the last 6 yearsicon from Barclaycard, he sent his data subject request form but didn't know his a/c number as the credit card was a year or 2 ago, they replied saying that they needed his a/c number, please can anyone point me towards a template letter for this?
Also, he has his statements from his Halifaxicon credit card and is ready to go to the next step, please can anyone point me towards the template letter? Or is it the s/sheet next?
    Thank you in advance!!

    Hi Craigten,

I'll move this to the BC forum.

BC should be able to trace the a/c data, if you give:_

    Full name
    DoB
Best guess at when a/c was opened
Current address and any other which applied during the a/c history
Info re any Barclaysicon bank a/c which was also open

Re the Halifax CCard a/c, sent this for both Prelim Letter and lbaicon - http://www.consumerforums.com/resour...-bookworm.html

If you haven't started a thread for this a/c, do so in the HBOSicon forum.

    Hi Craigten,

The link takes me to a letter which is in a text box.

Copy and paste it into a Word Doc't, adapt it to suit, and send it off.

This is how it works with BC.

If you just claim the charges, they'll argue a bit, then repay all the charges and maybe a flat 8% bonus on top.

If you claim back interesticon at the contractual rate using an Advanced Spreadsheet, they'll fight you all the way, you'll have to file a claim at court, send in an aqicon, prepare 3 x Court Bundles and they'll start negotiating only when you have a final court date.

If you want the contractual interest, the reward financially can be significant.

See Mack's case here as an example - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...rclaycard.html

Then, if you want to go for the higher claim, include the interest on the Prelim Letter.

    Hi CT,

It will avoid confusion if you only discuss the BC on this thread.

If you haven't already done so, start a thread in the Halifaxicon forum for that case.
