Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have 2 student loans from pre 1998 which I had been deferring up until 2006/2007. I've moved address several times since then and really just forgot to update them and have therefore had no contact from them since.
Having read about plans to link unpaid/late and defaulted loans with credit reports I'm now wondering if it would be best to get in touch with them with my new address and get the deferrals running again, if accepted?!
I'm just concerned that default letters could be arriving at my old address from years ago and I won't know anything until it's too late.
