Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My wife bought some GHD hair straighteners through Amazon in November. The actual purchase was from a company called 'Honeybytes'. These things have now packed up.
I spoke with GHD yesterday and they informed me (after giving them a reference attached to the device) that these were 'probably' counterfeit goods. I then spoke to Amazon and they directed me towards the original seller.
Now I can't find anything untoward on the Internet about Honeybytes, so I'll have to wait and see what happens.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what was the outcome and where do I stand?
I made a complaint to Amazon about Honeybytes because I could not get Honeybytes' address to complain to them directly. Amazon took the matter up themselves and today my Wife got an email from them to say that they (Amazon) are refunding the money to her account.
