Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I got a loan of £1200 from Logbook loans, with my BMW K1200 GT motorcycle,
which my wife purchased for me in 2007.
When I signed the document at Cash converters, I was only given 2 pages of the bill of sale and no other documents. I was also told that I could pay monthly, but a 3 weeks later discovered that I was three weeks behind.
As I am an agency nurse, sometimes I get work one week, and another none, and have therefore got behind on my payments by £500. I have not received any documentation from them at all, even though I have requested it from them a number of times. They say they do not send out monthly statements, and so I never know where I am with them. They have sent me a letter saying that they will repossess the vehicle. I have contacted them, and made an arrangement. But I am not happy with there procedures, and the fact I have had no documents from them, not even a consumer credit agreement. They said they will send this out to me. I was told that the APR was 48%, but have discovered that it may be as much as 100 %.
The motorcycle was purchased in my wifes name, but is registered in my name. Any help please, in serious financial diffilculties at he moment.
Thank you
