Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My daughter got a pcn from this ocmpany. I was told to ignore it. They have now written saying they want £100. All the usual threats, Instructing a debt collection agency, obtain a CCJ, a warrant to county court appointed bailiffs .
Is this the usual routine for them? What else can I expect before they give up?
Thanks guys. The trouble is these notices look so genuine, that you would never know they are no more than an invoice. £100 for parking your car at 10pm at night in a leisure venue is disgraceful. Maybe if they charged you £20 people would pay, as they know they were probably in the wrong.
believe me once you know the regulations about real PCNs and something about the legislation that PPCs break all the time then they do stand out as 'very suspicious' ( or 'load of old tat')
