I joined two days ago and have been reading up as much as I can. During the last 6 years I have suffered a lot of charges from A + L and MBNA and I am going to try and claim them back. It seems a bit daunting to start with but I will start with a request for all my statements, then go from there.
Hi Andrew and good luck. It is daunting at first but the more you read the more you will understand, and your confidence will grow. This is a good time to do the groundwork while you wait for the statements. If, after searching, there are any questions you need to ask, you can post here and someone is sure to help.
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
Should you be offered help that requires payment please report it to site team.

First things first, read the FAQ's, then read them again!!! pretty much everything you need to know is in there. You cannot read enough on this site, (remember knowledge is power).
Believe me you are not the only one that has suffered at the greedy hands of A&L !!! There really is nothing to worry about, the more you read the more confident you will become. You'll find a massive amount of help and advice here.
Once you have sent off your request for your statements, use the 40 days(and it probably will be 40 days) to read up as much as you can.
Remember to stick to YOUR deadlines, don't let them dictate to you!!!
GOOD LUCK
You know you will have to do a seperate claim against MBNA don't you?
