Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm new to this game, so lots of help will be needed, and gratefully received!
I have several credit cards, all taken out before April 2007, and I've sent a CCA request + £1 postal order to all of them by recorded delivery. The first reply was from Barclaycard, who sent a bad photocopy of the terms and conditions applicable at the time I took the card out.(August 1999) This was followed up by a personal letter to me, stating the current credit limit, the current balance and when the next minimum payment is due. The letter ends with the comment that "This completes our obligations to you under section 78 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974". A copy of their current terms and conditions was also attached. They have not sent me anything bearing a signature.
I'm hoping that none of the above constitute a "true copy" of the agreement. If so, is anyone able to help me send a suitable reply?
