These Idiots at Howard Cohen filed in Norhampton Court against me for Barclaycard. Dispite not being able to send me my CCA request. Filed defence to the court regarding that I would need the Agreement bought to court have heard nothing since.
Recieved today NOTICE OF DISCONTINUANCE from Cohen & CO
Take notice that the claiment hereby discontinues proceedings against the DEFENDENT under the above numbered action and accordingly withdraws from the same
The original has been lodged at the court.
Does this mean no more action from them and i have won?
They have Discontinued the action. What were the proceedings against you?
You can request that costs be awarded on the basis that the Defendant has had months to offer and arrange a settlement if it had wished to, but instead chose to rebut or ignore all attempts at meaningful dialogue.

The amount was for approx £3800 with £85.00 court fee and £80.00 solicitors fees. The only document they could provide was an application form.

Can this now be sold on to another DCA?

It has been known in the past to send the account out to another DCA. Might be worth asking them what they intend to do, they may write it off completly.
