    Red face Possibly daft question...

I'm doing Moneyclaim on A+L at the mo - God knows I should know the answer, I've done this twice already on other accounts! I blame the heat!

I'm at the bit where I'm typing in the interesticon and am stuck on what figure I should put in....

"The claimant claims interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at the rate of 8% per year from (date when the money became owed to you) to (the date you are issuing the claim) of £XXX - (ENTER THE AMOUNT) and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment, or earlier payment, at a daily rate of £X.XXp (put in daily rate of interest)".

It's the bit there that's in CAPS... do I put in the amount I want the interest added onto? Just the interest? Or the whole thing plus the interest?!! I think it's just the interest.

    Thanks in advance!

Actually.... there's a bit of extra complication here. Basically, I'm claiming back £437 in charges, but adding it all up, they've already, over time, refunded £71.50 of it (therefore I'm claiming £365.50). I'm a bit puzzled as to where the interest should go anyway. What I did was add it all up, did the interest and then take off the £71.50 - that seems to me to be the clearest way of doing it, if not the most logical, as the only other way I can think of is to subtract some of the interest off the individual charges on the dates that the charges referred to. I don't even know if that makes sense because my head, as usual, is frazzled!

When i completed my excel spreadsheet i put the dates of individual charges then the dates of refunded charges, then the spreadsheet works out the interesticon you should claim and what you shouldnt, it then nets it all off at the bottom. (as long as you put a minus figure in from of the refund)
