Crazy query i know but i have moved abroad in 1999 and returned in 2003 had nothing since returning in 2003, left a debt behind in 2000ish. Also how do you know if and EU debts have been CCJ'd and if they havent can they enforce them to be paid after 6 years?

You can view your credit file on CreditExpert.co.uk from Experian, Credit Rating Check, Free Credit Report & Fraud Alerts where you can sign up for one month free trial, before the trial is up if you dont want to pay to continue the service, then you need to phone them and cancel, this will show if you have a sheriff court judgement or anything else marked against your credit file. Debts that have not been paid or acknowledged after 5 years in Scotland are barred by statute and unenforcable, 6 years in England.
I am allready on experian and i have a really good credit report with a credit score of 999. Thats why i am so annoyed about my other post the Abbey National one as i dont want it to tarnish my credit file. There are no defaults on my a/c and i know in the last 6 years i havent had any bad credit so anything that comes onto my file now is wrong I can state that for a fact as i settled all my a/c back in January when my husbands job was in threat and we didnt want to be left with 1 income and lots of debts. Thank you for your advice
