hi guys , well i have got all my bank statments and worked out al the charges, with intrest i am sitting at £4,977.25. well my question is how do i work out the overdraft intrest that the charged me ? and can i claim back referal charges?
regards david
The answer to the last part regarding referall charges is yes claim them
dont claim account service charges if you have a "special" account" like royalties account (usually £10 or £12 ) these are usually hidden with other charges to the account but become easy to recognise
you CAN'T claim the 8% interest YET. only when it goes to court and you get judgement
*** edit *** you claim the interest when you file the claim (oops sorry) *** edit ***
overdraft interest is a bit more difficult to work out and most people tend to leave it. Ask a moderator
good luck with your claim

well got a letter today offering £1340, as Full and final , should i accept this or go for the full amount, this seems the easyer option as all i have done so far was issue the first letter?
regards david
not really, i am just going to follow the way it is set out in the procedure, so i now need to send a letter of action against them letting them know i am willing to go to court. here goes!

You will prob, have to file a claim, this will cost £120 but add this into the money you are claiming back for charges but state that it is court costs. Go into moneyclaim online court pretty easy to folow, you will have to state your case but get limited space ex amount of words. If you go into the thread bigcol and flick threw he has written in exactly what you need to say to state your case. Good Luck.
as your claim is very nearly £5000 the addition of interest will take it over the £5k limit. Your case will still be heard under the small claims track but the cost will jump to £250 I think. best to ask someone who knows better
