Can my employer withold my pay

I returned to work after a long period of sickness in february 2009 I worked 3 days and unfortunately went off sick icon

again , my employer is refusing to pay my wages for the three days that i worked because i didnt work for a full seven days can anyone tell me if they are allowed to do this please ? and if not how do i force them to pay me what they owe me? Thank you

Hi

No they cannot do this. Remind them politely, that they owe the wages, and will be in breach of contract if not.

If you cannot resolve this informally, submit a wriitten grievance icon

.

Ensure that you do not wait longer than 3 months as this will be the time limit for an ET claim (although you will have longer if the claim is brought in county court icon

)
