Thread: Health & Safety issue with Argos???

my son works for Argos & he works up stairs in a sweaty store room with 1 broken fan, this gets very hot during the summer months.
his roll is to pass goods into a lift & send them down to the shops counter area.

he has been told by his manager, he is`nt allowed to drink fluids while on duties
he has also been told to supply his own safety foot wear

surly this cannot be right?

No this isn't right.

If he needs safety footwear, his employers by law have to provide it for him. They also have to provide reasonable access to cold drinking water.

he should contact the local authority in the area he works, and speak to the environmental health department.
