Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
last week got my bank statement - checked it - found some transactions that were not mine tried to telephone them from my mobile from the hospital - they kept saying no-one there terminating the call - so tried phoning them on sunday - they dont work on sundays as far as current accounts are concerned - phoned them on monday morning - spoke at length with one person wh then put me through to the fraud dept - they have agreed to return the fraudulent transactions - they have stopped my debit card - they say they will send me a statement up to mondays date so that i can check the rest of the transactions - these fraudulent transactions caused my overdraft to go over the limit so at least one of my DD has been stoped and i am being charged for it - it says over 80 pounds to be taken next week and they also took some charges at the time of stopping DD (think it was £25). Still have not had any of the letters she said they would send out, cant check my account either at a ATM or online because my debit card has been cancelled. How long will I have to wait to get access to my account again?
any way this is the final straw as far as Abbey are concerned - will move all my banking over to my parachute account and start trying to get my charges back. I am curretnly earning about 500 per month cant afford to loose a quarter of it to charges.
How to get them to chivvy up all the letters and new card in the meantime?
