Default UK Parking Control & McDonalds

My friend got a pcnicon from these clowns for going over time at Mucky D's. Am I right in assuming that it has no basis in law and that if she ignores it, they will give up and go away?

She has not responded to them.

Is this just the usual [problem] a la Parking Eye, and are there any special tricks they use that I should look out for?

    Thanks,
    Martin

Oh, there IS a basis in law, contract law - but it's all to do with acceptance of terms, and since this never happened, it's all just a little postal entertainment until they lose interesticon.

There is one thing in common with McDonalds and UK parking control.

Both of their companies are headed by a ridiculius clown who would have you believe that they really care about you and tell the truth.

Irony, irony. They've all got it irony (or should that by infamy?)

How can you accept terms that are unlawful?

Agree with Al on this one.

Under contract law terms that are deemed unlawful ( break existing case law and/or statute law) are deemed not to exist.

So there is little basis in contract law for these claims.

Don't you just love McDonalds'? With the economy in its worst ever state they have ppc's putting off lawful customers, well done them.

Indeed-but not surprising regarding the amount of posters that have been on here discussing the many invoices that they have had. You'd think that McDonalds would have got the message by now...
