Non fault car accident claim outstanding, renewal due can I switch Insurance Co's?
My son was involved in a car accident a couple of months ago in which the third party was at fault. My son is processing through a non-fault Insurance Company (not his own) although he did notify his Insurers due to claiming his excess back I believe. His car insurance is up for renewal at the end of the week and is more than we anticipated. Can he go elsewhere for his renewal or will he have to stay with them until the claim is settled?

Remember though that you will need to notify potential insurers of this incident who will probably log it as a fault accident until it is settled. At that point, the policy will be amended and additional premiums paid refunded or future payments adjusted.
