Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Here's the scenario:
Council House - only OH's name on the rent book as it was hers before I moved in. The Council Tax Bill was always sent to her and addressed to her.
Now, since she applied for a rebate due to my ill health, my name has suddenly appeared on the bill.
So if I am still not named on the rent agreement how come the council have suddenly decided that I am liable for the Council Tax ?
Just seems strange that it took an application for Council Tax reduction before my name appeared.
Any ideas why ?
