Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have had problems with Abbey since applying to reclaim bank charges off them last year. They started by withdrawing my overdraft which I
could'nt afford to pay back all at once, they then threatened to close my account, Abbey then sent a bailiff to my house a few weeks ago it was on a sunday morning
demanding back my debit card and cheque book. My Abbey current account is still open and they are adding interest to the overdraft I'm still paying off. When they
stopped my overdraft I had been paying it down and had managed to get it down from £2100 to around £700. Because of additional charges and interest it is now back
up to nearly £2000. Any advice on how to pursue this would be most grateful.
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition, they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to have happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI Insurance has been sorted. Now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

Hi
Thanks for replying to my post
My problems with Abbey started last year when I applied to reclaim charges to my account.
I havent started a claim to the charges recently applied to the account.
I have written a letter to Abbey asking for interest to be frozen on account as I have Just lost my Job.
Its just one big nightmare
