    Default Barclaycard initial visa

I have a Barclaycard initial visa. on my latest statement, it say's

"Please stay within your credit limit and ensure that your monthly payments are received on time and are not returned unpaid, otherwise a £20 charge (£24 for initial customers) will be incurred for late payment, over credit limitand returned payments."

How can the same amount of manual intervention (according to them) warrant a higher charge on one account that another.

I believe they charge more on the initial account because they think initial customers are more likely to go over their limit and therefore the higher charge will make them even more money.

    More evidence of profitering?

    You are probably right.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.
