Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Finally... a light at the end of the tunnel - and it's not a train!
Hello!
My friend directed me to this site and I'm so glad she did!! I have been going round in circles trying to resolve my debt situation (all started with bank charges!) and finally feel like I have a way to do this.
My bank - Lloyds TSB - refused me an overdraft when I initially went to them for help to cover a short-term cashflow problem. Sure enough, all bills and DDs I had going out of my account were bounced as there were no funds available - and I had yet to pay those bills. I was charged handsomely for this - around £800 in total. I called the bank to ask them to reverse the charges and was advised that they would instead give me an overdraft to allow me to pay back the charges!!!!!!
Since then, I have been unable to maintain commitments to other creditors, due to the additional mandatory payments to reduce my overdraft and have ended up in the financial s*&t.
I really hope that the actions on this site will end positively for me and others who have been victim of these unfair charges. Fingers crossed!!!!

Thank you Dolly It is a daunting thing to do - we masses are so used to taking what we are told at face value, it's refreshing to feel like your eyes are opened and there is something you can do!
By the way.... can anyone recommend a bank to open an account with in case mine gets closed?? Bear in mind, given recent credit issues, unlikely to get a current account
