Just received a Parking Contravention Charge notice from NCP. I could not find anything on this thread relating to them, so am unsure as how to treat this. Any advice appreciated. Asking for £100 within 28 days or reduced by 50% if within 14 days.
Ticket was issued in a car park in town shopping centre. Was advised by a member of staff that if we paid a certain amount then we could park there as the ticket just said staff. Well tried it a few times whilst just running in and out and had no problem. This time we got a ticket saying no staff registered with this vehicle registration number. Can't scan as not working at the moment. But it says at the top Parking Contravention Charge notice. Please let me know what else you need to know and I will let you know. It is a pay and display so always assumed it was local council, but no mention on the ticket of this. Thanks.
The 2 clues I think are the title "parking charge Contravention" and the fact the OP says it is a staff car park. Both these facts would indicate it is not council issued which would then mean it is safe to apply option 1:- Ignore

It is in fact a public multi storey car park, but there is an agreement for staff to park on a certain floor for a certain charge. It states vehicle details i.e. reg etc, and under violation, they have hand written the comment " this car registration is not registered as a staff vehicle and does not have the authority to park as staff". By the way it says across the top, this car park is owned or managed by NCP. (So no mention of council anywhere). Can I ignore this?
Post a pic of the ticket would be best just so it can be checked here (hide your personal details first though), but a council pcn should clearly state at the top which council it is.
