Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Recently got a pug puppy for my daughter . As i live in a housing association flat with a shared garden , it was nesercary under the term of my lease to get permission , having mentioned getting a dog to my neighbors .
Got written permission , got a puppy , then got a letter from the Housing association telling me to get rid of the dog within 14 days as no permission, plus a form from the local dog rescue centre , myself and daughter very upset .
Upstairs , we are in the garden flat , lives the busy body from hell , who is also the tenants representative in the housing association , we had recently fallen out over the garden, he has a lot of sway as he is up to his elbows in everyones business in the offices , and had recently befriended the new housing officer who had written the letter stating there was no permission , no preamble , visit telephone call , straight to letter to get rid of dog .
luckily we had the permission letter from the original officer for the dog including access to the garden , we are in the garden flat , there have been dogs here before , we sent this of , plus a letter of complaint implying our neighbor had had access to our files in the housing office ,which knowing him we believe he had .
Obviously there was not much she could do about this and sent a letter confirming permission , but barring the dog ,12 weeks old , from the garden
contrary to the original permission .
Do we have to accept this , we had permission all along , it was their mistake , to quote 'our files are not in order" , what right do they have to amend it without cause , not even an apology for the distress to my daughter .
Any help gratefully received as I would like to take these puppy bullies to task , legally if possible !!!!
