    Angry Vechile Control Services Ticket

    hello

    i parked my car on private land, when i returned i had a parking ticketicon from vechile control services with a fine of £80 or £120 if not paid within 7 days.

    where i parked the car, i was the only car to receive a ticket.

    i was at the time driving a courtsy car which was displayed on the car!

    i have not paid the fine of £80, and have now just received a letter demanding £120 and if i do not pay it i will be taken to court/have debt collectionicon after me.

    i have read some threads on this site which advises to ignore these letters, however because i was driving a courtsy car sign out to myself, do i have a leg to stand on......

    Hello,

    Get a letter written to courtesy hire people explaining that this is an unenforceable invoice that they must not pay. Advise them to redirect the parking company to you. That means that you are free to ignore and that the courtesy car people wont pay and try and get the money from you. This is nothing more than a mail [problem] by a company with no legal backing whatsoever. Make sure you discuss with the hire company and get a written response though.

    they picked on you because it is a courtesy car, their hope is the car owners pay up and pass the bill on to you. (they pick on lease cars for the same reason).

    HIGHLY likely that the Ts and Cs of the courtesy ctr only covers 'real' PCNs. speeding tickets and fines not PPC [problem]voices.

    you still got a copy of the paper you signed for the car ?
    what EXACTLY does it say about 'fines' and 'penalties' etc.

    also get on to the car people now, some companies much more clued up than others on PPC [problem]voices. Some like to pay them and then charge you 30-50 pounds for the honour. straighten them out !
