Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Since i have found this site i have been pouring out all my problems here and so far i have been getting very good advice and very happy to have found this site.
on with the problem at hand:
to cut a long story short, the council agreed to refurbish my bathroom but were suppose to complete it within 2 weeks. The job took over 7 weeks to complete and during this and certain times, we had no water no bath, no shower, messy work, losing of my keys, not turning up to finishing off and etc.
i complained once and they did no take it serious, i complained again and it has gone to stage 2 which i am requesting compensation. Now they want me to outline what i want in terms of compensation and i want to ask for 7 weeks rent !!! is this a normal thing to ask for or what is the realistic compensation when it comes to councils ? to be honest I am not sure what to ask for but I want to be a pain towards them as they were towards me.
i have not had time to chase up or go to the CAB office for help.
all help and advice is as always much appreciated.
