    Default Ricky Vs Natwest

    Hi All

I have started claims against Natwesticon and HSBCicon.

I new how much I needed to claim back from Natwest and sent details to them. I have just had a letter back off them apologising for not meeting the deadline and asking to give them a little more time to get details from the statements.

What should I do now?? They sent me details for the Financial Ombudsmanicon, should I allow them to have a little longer or should I write to them telling them that I am not happy to do this and give them the notice of action letter??

Also is it worth me getting in touch with the ombudsman as they have missed the deadline.

    Ricky

Well this is up to you really but i would say follow the templates, sounds abit silly but then they know you mean business and would they have given you the same compliment, as long as the courts would see you are allowing the banks enough time to deal with it and i feel 28days is enough time. I would send the lbaicon now and see the response you get

I'll prepare the lbaicon today. Is it best to send it to the guy who is dealing with the complaint (the bloke who sent the letter asking for more time).

I guess it's not really worth contacting the Ombudsmanicon at this stage then

Its completly up to you. I would send the letter back to the guy who is dealing with the request. Also its up to you about the complaint, if you show that you are allowing them more time it will look good if in the unlikely event it goes into court.

Hi guys. Just had a letter off Natwesticon offering £116... I'm claiming over £600!!!

Is there a standard letter that people have used to reject the offer or should I just continue. They have had my lbaicon and the 14 days is up a week on thursday.

Another funny thing, the date on the letter offering me the money was 23rd March, 2003...... over 3 years before I started my claim, lol

Just reply saying you would happily accept it as part payment towards the full sum you are claiming. They will probably then withdraw it. Then carry on with your claim. They are just trying to put you off.

    Won.......£3778.50
