I've just looked at the penalty fair notice i was given, the date given on which the incident occurred is 1 month earlier than when it actually happened and the date given to appeal/pay is the correct month but 1 day earlier than it should be.

The PFN has to be correct to be enforceable, write to IPFAS (address on the notice) and appeal, you will be successful.
