Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have 2 Barclaycard PPI complaints out there for a number of weeks now. They have sent me 2 update letters (buying or wasting time) and now I get a PPI Questionnaire ... a 3 page pile of drivel. I shall scan a copy on here shortly but in the meantime has anyone else had this treatment. Talk about delay tactics!

Any help or tips greatly appreciated please??
I had questionnaire and I know others have also.
Filled in most of mine but rather that give comprehensive answers I just referred them back to points raised in my earlier correspondence.
It is as you say another delaying tactic.
I believe questionnaires are also used if your complaint ends up in the retail regulatory risk department of the bank you are claiming against.
My complaints started with local branch. went on to Glasgow then Edinburgh and ended up being dealt with in Manchester.
I have no legal training and the advice I offer is a matter of support. Before you commit to any Legal action you are advised to contact a qualified legal practitioner. ------------------------------------------------
Bank charge successes:
Halifax - Full settlement incl interest.
HSBC - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 75% of claim.
RBS - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 70% of claim.
2 ongoing claims for bank charges with HSBC with more to come. (Supreme Court ruling could have upset these claims) They did
PPI Successes
PPI 4 settlements on 9 loans. FOS involvement on 7 added on the 8 % Statutory interest another 30% to both.
2 claims settled in full with LV without FOS involvement.
2 claims settled in full with HSBC without FOS involvement
PPI Claims ongoing with:
Cap one Now with the FOS
Barclays. Paid up today 24/04/10 cheque received for over £4,500 and in the bank.
LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc
Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.
Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

Good for you!
So just to claifiy you sent your questionnaires back to Barclaycard & what happened? did they reject & then you went to the FOS? ...
I am thinking why should i fill in a questionnaire with questions that they surely already have the answers to. I get the feeling they are trying to 'catch me out' with differing answers etc?
So just to claifiy you sent your questionnaires back to Barclaycard & what happened? did they reject & then you went to the fos? ... (my fight was with RBS not barclaycard my point was that a lot of banks are using the questionnaire ploy for whatever reason mentioned above, ie transfer between offices and new office requires more info and of course it causes delays. Yes they rejected one complaint and did not respond to the other so off to the FOS I went. Complained last August got results in December).
I am thinking why should i fill in a questionnaire with questions that they surely already have the answers to. I get the feeling they are trying to 'catch me out' with differing answers etc? Only you can make the call on whether to complete it or not.
Hope this clarifies the point I was trying to make
