Unhappy Civil Parking Charge Notice from LIDL - Help!

    Hello Caggers

Managed to pickup the above from the CCTV camera's at a nearby LIDL store. I allegedly overstayed my 1hr30mins in the car park. I did shop at the store and did one or two things on the high street but I'm not sure I overstayed the 1hr30mins duration.

The PENALTY for this 'overstay' is an amazing £90 which reduces to £45 if I pay by the 15th of April.

I do not think I should pay this penalty as it's unfair and the sneaky method of using CCTV cameras to gather this 'evidence' is VERY concerning.

Is there a protocol available to challenge this?

Appreciate all feedback and or pointers to useful threads and posts.

    regards
    btm

There is only one thing to do.......nothing.

This is a PPC invoice and can sfely be ignored.

    Do not pay a penny.

    Don't write or phone.

Ignore all future letters (which will be ever more strident and will threaten all sorts of dire consequences)

Eventually they will give up and move on to more gullible prey.

As Michael has said. It's a [problem]. Look through the many other private parking threads.

As a marker, a 'take it up with the driver' letter is flying forth.

Come to think of it, wonder who the driver was?
