Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.

Have just looked at a rarely used A & L Premier A/c online & have found they are going to charge me 2 lots of £25 for going 78p over my overdraft - and that was because of an interest charge! Don't know whether to laugh or cry!
Spoke to them & they were very officious & said it was my fault & I should look at my account more often. They wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor but would pass my complaint onto the charges team. What should I do - just wait & hope for the best or start the ball rolling?
Any advice would be appreciated as I am feeling a bit :o and
Now's the time to start looking around this site to get a better picture of what your course of action may or will be, and you can start planning it. You may as well do this whilst you wait to see what the A&L respond with ... and gain reassurance from others who have already experienced the same or similar problems!
If you read around the posts you'll see that many people are guided to the welcome page and the FAQ's as a first port of call ... start going through these and following the advice many others have given, and you'll soon begin to get a picture of the overall process.
It'll take a few days to get to grips with it all, but the more you read the more it will make sense. Post questions about anything you're unsure about (after you've had a good look to see whether it's something that's already been addressed or not), it'll not be long before someone responds with an answer or where to find the answer.
