Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have not been on line for a long time and was wondering where the Credit Card section had gone or do I look at the bank that issued the card for more details??
I was going to post this on a individual bank forum but I will have a go here first. Please if I have posted in the wrong place let me know.
Towards the end of 2007 I sent out SAR followed by a preliminary request to the following Credit card providers, Lloyds TSB, Nat west, RBS and Capital One. As I remember all of them replied with in time and I think they all paid a small credit on each account as a good will payment. At about this time we had a lot going on in our life’s and so I just stopped at that point. Later I was told that the stay on claims had been extended to credit cards (wrongly I have since learned) so I forgot about any claim.
On reading in the papers of the House of Lords decision on the appeal I have had a read tonight and discovered that credit cards are not stayed so I have decided to look into the chances of following up my claims. The amount as I remember was very small and I think the so called good will payments amounted to about 35% of what I was asking for.
So my questions are:-
1. Is it possible to continue now?
2. If yes it is possible how do I go about it?
3. Is it worth it as the amounts are small?
