Hi
Could someone please give me some advice. I have had a Barclaycard since around 1984 - 1986.
I have CCA'd them and they have sent me a copy of my "Conditions of Use" from when I opened my account (so they say). It has none of the prescribed terms. It also does not say when the account was opened.
Firstly I would like to know where I stand if it turns out that the account was opened before May 1985.
Secondly, I would like to know what happens with regard to PPI and charges that date back to when I took out the card. I only have statements going back to Oct 2003 and I was still paying PPI then even though I was made redundant in 1990 - so obviously did not know what it was for. I have had no charges (until recently) applied to the card in the last six years but I did before this as with the PPI. What are the chances of me being able to claim this back?

Hi Banker Rhymes
I have been trying to find something on the forums that answers Slick's question, so thank you for that. But what do you mean 'but the mess works both ways I think'?
