Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights

Hello all my wife has just had a ticket for a council car park, she has been parking there since sept and paid her £4.50 for the day, Today they have increased the chage to £5.00, she said the machines pricing on the side still said £4.50 for the day then when she got back there had been a paper over the top saying £5.00. Her ticket did say 13:30 so its some what her fault for not looking at the ticket, although in her defence after parking everyday and paying the same money there would be no reason to. She said on her level she counted 10 cars with tickets, its a 16 level car park, so Im guessing all the other people have done the same.
There has been no notice of pending increase in charges, can ayone offer any advice on what to do,
check for announcements of the date of the fee change and the date and time the notices were changed. sounds like the council was late putting the notices up and then proceeded to ticket. of course the council may get the date and time 'wrong' in their reply to you. which council is it ? check for minutes of parking related meetings on the council's website.

I have looked at there website, on the carpark in question, the changed the fee to £5.00, its says last updated yesterday, My wife has just told me the fees are in a fees list which is behind a clear board, she said they have changed that with the new fees since this morning when she paid, If i go into the council will they tell me what time and date they changed the list on the machine,
