Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Could someone tell me last week in a well known paper there were two full pages of companies offering to get PPI returned and prove unenforcible agreements more than ive ever seen. They also claimed if the agreements were unenforcible to be able to claim back whatever you have paid has anyone had success with this?I am claiming four agreements are unenforcible, one has offered to settle £1400 ppi but put it straight back into a disputed account, which i dont want.Just to make you smile one big bank has wrote back saying "the agreement is valid because it says consumer credit act 1974 on it "To save all the hassle i thought it might be easier to let them claim the money back as it was an extra bonus anyway What do you think?

(Yes I claimed back 4 laons with Direct Line Financial Services and 3 loans with RBS did it all myself and got over £10k refunded why pay someone a huge fee for doing something you can do for yourself with CAG held and advice?) Your call on the way forward but do it yourself and there is a sense of achievement

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
Thanks for reply ALANAALANA it has been a while since i posted. My fear is ive put 4 accounts into dispute and i'm scared that any challenges will all come at once and i wont be able to cope as as of now no phone calls or anything coming to my partners house.American Express have already contacted a previous address i lived at 5 years ago and threatened to send in bailiffs, luckily i used to work with him and he told me but its embarrassing they know this address. The article differs in the Sun as it says i quote "if your agreement is unenforcible then it could be cancelled. You might not have to make further payments but would still keep any goods you have bought. You could also be in line to have ALL YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS REFUNDED"
If this is correct it is another massive issue has anyone heard of this or tried to claim back monthly payments.I would be interested to find out what anyone thinks.
