Thread: account access restricted, facilities removed

the saga continues

whilst bank charges had been refunded to the account and long since spent, it turns out that my overdraft facility, debit card and online access were all removed from me; this, despite the account being in credit.

i wrote to:

Complaints
Abbey
PO Box 5129
MK9 2YN

for an explaination, and was told that this was due to 'activity' on the account. clearly this is no explaination at all so i have written again for clarification.

yes - i used the account to withdraw bank charge refunds however i no longer used it for day-to-day transactions


when they say 'activity', i dont think they mean 'lack of activity'

no i paid the overdraft back in full

so they did mean lack of activity

the accounts services were removed due to non-usage

i have written to them to ask if the services can be reinstated
