Hello
I wrote to RBS (owners of Nat West) I have been paying PPI since 2004 and requested a refund. They are now saying the policy was provided on a "non-advice"basis and full information was given "which allowed me to decide for myself whether it was right to take this out....Therefore I made a fully informed decision to proceed with the insurance"
They have given me details of fos if I want to appeal.
Do I stand a chance???

LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc
Please do not PM me for advice as it may be sometime before I can respond.
Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
Be prepared for a long slog through the fos.I started my claim way back in Nov2007 and ive only just got a positive reply. RBS have agreed to pay back my money (without admitting liability), although i am yet to accept as they forgot to quote a figure
Anyway for the price of a stamp what have you got to lose
can you post your response that you receive from RBS so I can see the exact reasons for them not upholding your complaint then I may be able to offer advice? it is also worth requesting a copy of your application and terms and conditions.
