Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hi all i'm new to the site looking for some advice on behalf of my friend
she has been suffering with really painful and irregular periods since she had a miscarriage three years ago (which went undiagnosed for weeks and led to an infection) .
after months of tests and painkillers which had no effect she was sent for a laproscopy (not sure if thats the right term its the procedure where they use a camera) they diagnosed her with pelvic imflammattory diease gave her antibiotics and more painkillers, things didnt improve she was sent for laser treatment which didnt work
she was still in constant pain, she went another laproscopy at a different hospital ( because she was very badly treated the first time they gave her less then half an hour to leave the hospital after having the procedure) they still couldnt tell her what was wrong with her also doctor told her that the antibiotics were useless because they were used to treat an STI which she didnt have
they have taken her off the painkillers because they were making her really ill and basically told her theres nothing else they can do unless things get worse
does anybody have any comments or advice on where she goes from here
shes thinking of paying to have tests done privatley just so she can get some answers, is this a good idea? is it costly? can she get private health insurance even though she has an exsisting condition?.
Hi, it may be Asherman's syndrome, scar tissue in the womb, it can occur after miscarriage. She would need a hysteroscopy, a camera into her womb rather than a laparoscopy which looks at her pelvic cavity. Any gynaecologist should be able to do this. She should not have a D+C (scrape) as this could make scar tissue worse.

any comments welcome, sorry for the long post!
Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your friend Have they checked or considered the possibility of endometriosis? It can be a painfully debillitating disease.
Secondly, I had acute Pelvic Inflammatory Disease a little over a year ago. It was the result of a surgery I had had and the surgical instruments had been unsterile. The Dr's tend to assume that PID is the result of an STI as that is the most common cause and will administer antibiotics accordingly. However, that's not as simple as it sounds. PID has to be treated aggressively, with two antibiotics and in alot of cases they have to be administered via drip or injections. Then pills are given and they must be taken for at least 2 weeks. The information given to your mate by the second dr just sounds a bit off to me, because one of the antibiotics used to treat PID is also routinely used to treat the STI that most commonly causes PID. How long was your mate taking antibiotics and do you know what kind she was using?
Hi - have you raised a complaint with your hospital through PALS??
Believe me I know what it's like, my baby has been poorly since he was born over 18 months ago and because they really don't know whats wrong with him they just put him on constant antibiotics and steroids which don't help!
Anyway the hospital will not be aware you are unhappy unless you tell them and in doing this you may get a referral to the proper department you need.
I am a layperson and have no legal training but I do have an iota of common sense (sometimes)
