Default Welcome Car Finance - faulty car

Hi i'm wondering if anyone can give me any advice in regards to dealing with welcome over i car i bought in Jan last year (08 )

The car i bought had done 33,000 miles and after 4 months of driving developed i fault with the gearbox which had to be replaced, i contacted welcome and they said they would see if they could repair it with their headoffice, after about a week they rang back and said no so i was left to foot the bill myself which wasn't to easy being a low income family with 2 toddlers. At the time of fixing it the mechanic which is a friend of mine commented that the gearbox had already been replaced before and it was a refurbished box already in which seemed a bit odd for such a new car,

Anyway this week the new gearbox has failed again and i'm really not in the position to get the car repaired again, as the actual monthly payments are about a 5th of my montly wage, and i'm basically looking for anything to to use to get welcome to take some responsibility for the car and something that seems a long standing problem with the car, as a car at 44,000 should not be on its fourth gearbox!

Also whilst going through the paperwork tonight from when i signed for the car i've found some odd things on some of the paperwork and i wondered if anyone knew anything about them, Firstly when i rang about getting a car a £250 cashback was mentioned to me and was brought up during the purchase, at the time the salesman told me the deposit was £468 when over the phone we had agreed £200, he said to get around this we could use the £250 as the deposit with my £200, but on the paperwork the only deposit mentioned is my original £200, also on the vehicle inspection sheet the salesman has hand written "No cashback (taken as part deposit)" so where did that go?

i've also got on the New and used vehicle order form an "extra" that costs £299 and on a seperate sheet a warranty for a Gardx treatment kit i apparently purchased according to the wording on the back, which is news to me! i remember getting home from welcome and finding a sealed case in the boot when i rang the saleman to tell him he'd left something in the boot he said it was mine, have i been charged for this? i'm really getting more annoyed by the second looking through the paperwork and wondering what these things are.

    A Breakdownicon of everything is

    Price of Vehicle 6401.00
    Price of extras 299.00

Amount due from finance company 6500.00
    Balance 200.00
    Less deposit 200.00
    Balance due from customer N/A

    Amount of credit 6500.00
    Duration 48 Mnths

    Toyal amount payable 9405.00
Payable 48 monthly installments of 191.75
    APR 19.8%
    Finance Charges 2704.00
    Option fee 1.00
Charge for credit for goods 2705.00
Rate of interesticon on credit(per annum) 10.40%

Also when i purchased the car i HPI'd it and it showed as having a agreement with welcome finance started on 17/08/2006 for 48 months so obviously they had already either taken it back or been sent it back once already which is something i'm going to look at with contacting the previos keeper, i should of known there was something dodgy with the company when i couldn't find my bank statement or wage slip on the day i'd arranged to go and they let me drive away with a car after just taking my driving licence and £200!!

    The car was from
    Welcome car finance
    Unit D Senator Point
    Hornhouse Lane
    Knowsley
    Merseyside
    L33 7YQ

    Any help would be appreciated.

I would be really gratefull for some advice with any of this, does anybody think there's at least a chance of at least reclaiming the £299 extras that i don't know what it is or the cashback, bearing in mind it is written on one of the sheets it was taken as part deposit by the salesman and isn't taken off the figures anywhere.

Its their car and they therefore share responsibility for keeping it going; however you should of got hem to reapair/change the gearbox the first time and now you have to repair change somebdy elses work.
I would take it back to the place that did the last change and get them to do what is necessry, should have lasted more tha 10k. they might try and wriggle but quote SOGAicon etc.
