im currantly paying capquest £50 a month for £323 worth of arrears. fair enough. ive just discovered that slc are adding £36 worth of intrest on each month. so instead of paying this debt of in 7 months in will be more like 24, as effectivly im only paying £14 p/m to the debt. is this allowed? . is there anything i can do to get these intrest charges dropped, or even refunded as ive been paying £50 p/m for quite some time now.

Going thro my finances i have discovered that for a £500 debt from the students loan company, i have paid £1700 thro capquest and still have £252 still to pay. They have been adding on an intrest/penalty charge of £36 per month. When i only pay £50 per month, so in fact i have only been paying £14!!
IM a litle miffed that i i have paid the original debt 3 times and there is still half to go. What can i do? Is this too much intrest and if so how do i claim it back?
