the banks are going to appeal to House of Lords, looks to me they have waited until the last minute to make their application. I wonder if the rich bods in the House of Lords will understand what it is really like for people in the real world or if they will just think we are a load of silly phlebs who should know better? I cant see them understanding what it is like when an institution takes control of your life and your money

The House of Lords in this context is a Judical body and so the Law Lords hearing the appeal will be Judges. So hopefully their decision will be based on the Law and not their background.
