Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm a bit nervous and would really apreciate any help on the first steps to my Egg card claim..

Re: Account No: .......... XXXX
With reference to the above account, I would be grateful for a signed copy of my Consumer Credit Agreement.
I understand that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Sections 77-79), I am entitled to receive a copy of this agreement upon request. I therefore enclose a payment of £1.00 which represents the fee payable under the Consumer Credit Act.
I understand that a copy of my credit agreement should be supplied within 12 working days.
I also understand that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, creditors are unable to enforce an agreement if they fail to comply with a request for a copy of the agreement under these sections of the Act.
I included two forms of id-copy of drivers licence ( with sig blanked) and copy of utility bill, cited the part that states I do not have to provide a sig and sent it recorded delivery ( the cheap one).
I got the CCA back without a hitch, they started playing silly beggars when I disputed the account.
Good Luck Youvex, have a read of the "response to my CCA request" thread-forewarned is forearmed.
Good luck with your quest, one thing though if you don't sign the request they will just send you the fee back unactioned.
I signed mine and put a line through it try and make it slightly different from your usual signature just in case they do lift it.
cds
I've had mine back twice, sent an in dispute letter, If it isn't required by law, and even they state that when the send it back, then where do we go from there.
I am not going to send my sig and they bounce my request back.
I have proof they recieved my request so surely they are none complient.
