    Default Citi PPI / FOS

I've put in a PPIicon claim with Citi Financial January 2008. Nothing happened.

June 2008 - filed a case against them with fosicon. Still waiting.

    Is this normal?

Some cases are taking up to 12 months to reach an adjudicator, are the fosicon keeping in touch with you?

Any opinion I give is my own and given without

    any liability.

Not anymore. They used to send me letters every month, but it now stopped. I email them once in a while to check on progress and I get standard responses like this one below.

"We are very sorry that we have not yet been able to allocate your complaint to an adjudicator. We handle cases depending on the date that we receive them into the team. We will allocate your case to an adjudicator as soon as we can."

I wish I've taken Citi to court instead.

fosicon are really slow I'm afraid. 9 months to allocate any complaints i have made. To be optimistic though you should be close to getting an answer if your complaint was lodged last june.. hopefully!

fosicon has now finally made a decision on my favour. I haven't heard from the other party though. What if the other party dispute the decision, what can I do? Will the FOS get involve? According to their last letter, my case with them has now been closed and I should contact the other party for the settlement.

The decision would of been made by an adjudicator if they disagree it will then go the next step up to an ombudsman.

    The Ombudsman's decision is final.

The fosicon would have also sent there decision to the lender but it can take a couple of weeks before you will hear from the lender.

When did you get the decision from FOS ?

    Hi PF

I got the Ombudsman's final decision on 06 August.
If after 4 weeks I dont hear from the lender what should be my next step? I got this weird feeling that Citi will ignore the decision, they have been doing it throughout the case. I mean, after they provided their paperwork to fosicon, they never again responded to their letters.
