I have recently purchased a fully comp insurance policy for my Honda CG125.

I have not passed my test so I ride with " L plates. "

When I went to pay from this insurance cover, I saw that there was a charge for breakdown insurance of £30.

When I asked about this charge, I was told by the broker that you cannot have a policy to ride the bike without paying £30 extra for breakdown cover.

I have used this broker for many years, and they always stick an extra charge for legal cover on my car insurance, which I always decline.

The question I have is, I do not want breakdown cover for my bike, I never asked for it on the policy, and I refused to pay for something I do not want.

Can the insurance company impose a £30 charge on me for this extra cover which I do not want or need?

The broker has told me that they will look into the payement.

THe insurance is with RideSure, and breakdown policy is by DAS Legal exspenses Ins. Company Ltd.
