Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Back in February I stopped in Chingford where they have an unusual scheme where you buy a Parking Voucher from a local business instead of P&D machines on the street. I went to the Post Office thinking I could get one there along with sending a letter but that wasn't possible.
On return to the car I found a pcn (along with pics on the council website) giving me 14 days to pay £30 or 28 days to pay £60. I chose to challenge it, any rejection of which gives me another 14 days to pay.
I challenged it by post on the grounds that I thought I was doing the right thing by going to the PO and that for first time visitors the scheme is confusing, plus signage is inadequate. I have not heard back from since sending the letter on 6th March.
What should I do now?
