Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My Daughter, in her opinion, and mine, feel that she is not being treated fairly by the staff at her college.
several incidents have occured where things have been blown out of all proportion.
Other incidents have been taken out of context, but still my daughter is being penalised.
Does any one know the route I can take to get the college to stop doing what they are doing. I know my daughter isn't an angel but she doesn't deserve the treatment that she is getting.
We had a meeting today to discuss a stage 2, but they could not handle my daughter giving her side of the story. There was supposed to be somebody there as an unbiased bystander, but lo and behold they just ganged up on my daughter when she put her side of the incidents across. in fact I had a shed load of stuff to discuss of past incidents which I myself was not happy about which resulted in my daughter ending up in hospital with pneumonia because of innactions of staff on a recent trip.
But they would not allow the meeting to go any further !
I would think of either withdrawing her from the college and seeking placement elsewhere or formalising your complaint in writing.
If she is to stay there you need to improve communication with the college and resolve the issues what ever they may be. It sounds like there are unresolved issues as well as the current ones.
A word of caution - I was in a similar situation myself at one point and backed my daughter implicitly - however she was playing both ends against the middle as teenagers are wont to do....
