Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My Toshiba A80 has been away for repair 3 times since early December, the first time to have the hinges replaced, the 2nd time to have a new CPU, fan, disk drive & base plastic. When it was returned it was still faulty, so it was taken away for a third time. This was 4 weeks ago, & since then I have received 2 answer phone messages saying they are waiting for a part. Personally I think this is ridiculous, as I have now been without my laptop for 8 weeks in total since early December. Surely it's time to give me vouchers for a replacement?
Under the terms and conditions of their guarantee, after a period of 28 days (per repair). Your entitled to a replacement, or replacement vouchers. I'd get on to mastercare and have them begin proceedings to write your laptop off.
Also, they can only repair your laptop 3 times before having to replace it anyway.
When they write your laptop off usualy you'll recieve vouchers for enough to replace your laptop with one of the same or better specification. Bare in mind, if your issued £400 for example, and the nearest laptop that matches is £450 the branch can have your vouchers upgraded to match this amount. They should also issue you vouchers for a pro-rata refund on your Pc-Performance.

I'm sure I was told they'd only issue vouchers if they couldn't repair it within six weeks, rather than 28 days.
Take a look at the T&C with your reciept, and see, as far as I remember it's 28 days. Still, the second that time frame is up, you need to be on the phone and pestering them to get your vouchers issued and posted.

Its 28days for purchases from Currys & 6Weeks for items bought from PcWorld
I see, my bad, I thaught the 28 day rule was a product of mastercare themselves and not an independant chain deal.
