Default D.L.C Cover Brighthouse, Help In Clarification Please

I have had a very good read of this, Also I have read a lot of Lefty's replies.

The sistuation I have is this.

I x mobile phoneicon bought and still been paid for, by the person who has the contract with the shop.

Now same person above has another mobile phone for a member of her family, which she asked is this OK to do,Member of family being (son or daughter).

Now the member of the family has either loss or had it stolen form them.
It's been reported to Vodaphone and been disconnected and barred.

Then call police and get crime Number,
Shop has all the details, but said we must still pay untill they hear from Head Office as regards thye claim. This could be 3 more weeks, is this correct?

I am also pretty surewe willbe Liable to £20 excess charge as well.

Here is now where i cannot understand.

But on reading what Lefty say's, we lose the phone, we have the payments stopped, we don't get another replacement, we lose the money already paid.

    Is this Correct?

    Will be back soon.

    Hi there.

Unfortunately, that's about the size of it. Your DLC policy only "insures" your hire purchase liability with BrightHouse. It does not insure the phone.

You will NOT receive a replacement.

But, presumably, BrightHouse made this perfectly clear to you with an in-store presentation prior to you signing up?

    Cheers
