Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hello,
I've just fired my first salvo using the advice from here (i did do the SAR - they also managed to send me a load of info from someone elses account!).I've been reading some of the other threads, and I fully expect a letter back refuting my claims, however ...
Since the complaint covers (technically) two loans and the first was taken out over six years ago I got a polite bu**er off letter from them. The advice seems to be clear that as long as the complaint is within three years of being made aware it is still valid according to the fos.
Hello,
I've just fired my first salvo using the advice from here (i did do the SAR - they also managed to send me a load of info from someone elses account!). (Have you told the someone else and/or first plus? I am sure both the someone else and first plus will have things to say about this especially if you inform them both by sending a copy of the same letter informing them both of the huge mistake in data protection violation) I've been reading some of the other threads, and I fully expect a letter back refuting my claims, however ...
Since the complaint covers (technically) two loans and the first was taken out over six years ago I got a polite bu**er off letter from them. Can you post the dates of the loans. ( I managed to claim back to 1997 but the loans were loan on loan on loan) Successful outcome in the end. The advice seems to be clear that as long as the complaint is within three years of being made aware it is still valid according to the fos. This is true it is not the dates of the loans but when you became aware of the mis-selling of them with your reasons to claim mis-selling that are the main issue.
Do I now reply to F+ or go to FOS with this one?
My complaints went to the everyone FOS, FSA, ICO, OFT, BBA and any other financial folks in our universe. To see what I mean you will have to have sight of my own fight it is long 12 months worth of letters in all directions but in the end I got back over £10k. If you have the time follow thism, read and use anything that can be of use in your own case......

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
