Have sent of first letter of claim to RBS (14th July) and received a standard reply - "received your letter and will look into it"
In anticipation of going the distance to the small claims court I need some advice on where I should make my claim so that I can prepare.
I had this account with the RBS in Edinburgh when I was a student and my local branch was there - however I closed this account a year ago and now live in the midlands.
Should I have to take to the small claims court - should I submit my claim in England through moneyclaim - or in Scotland?
As you're now living in England, I think you should choose an English address for the bank - I used Customer Services in Southampton If you file in Scotland you're limited to £750 at a time and - theoretically at least - to 5 years

I have 4 different addresses for each stage of my claim.

Litigation is in Princess street London
And default issues are handled at the Telford address
