Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I hold a Barclaycard Visa Credit card which I have had for at least 6 years. I sent them an initial CCA request letter to them on 01/12/2008. Since then I received a letter from them on 30/01/2009 enclosed with a copy of theier Barclaycard terms and conditions with no reference to my account at all, just a copy of one of those leaflets they sent in the post.
I also received another letter on 30/01/2009 stating that enclosed is:
A copy of your orinigial Barclaycard Credit Agreement (this not actually enclosed)
The current credit limit
The current Balance
Next minimum payment.
So i have not received the CCA as requested. Please could anyone tell me the next course of action and what letter i need to send them and a template of it if possible. I will also attach the copy of the letter they sent to me when i have the rights to attach documents on this website.
You need to read a few of the BC threads here to see what's happening re CCA requests. The bottom line is, BC won't send you a copy of the Credit Agreement in response to this.
You'll see others using the CPR route, which you can read about at Link No2 in my signature below.
If you've suffered unlawful penalty charges on the a/c, you can send off a SAR requesting all your info for the a/c. See here for a template which you can adapt to suit your case - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ml#post2046699
